Claudia Saul Poems

Meet Claudia Saul, author and poet.

Born in Georgetown, Guyana, Claudia Saul migrated to the United States in 1967. She pursued a career in Computer Programming at Baruch College, and later went on to Brooklyn College where she earned a BFA Degree in Creative Writing. She began writing and reciting poems at age fifteen. She also won several awards for essay writing.

While in high school in Guyana, she read the works of poets such as Lord Byron, Sir Walter Scott, William Shakespeare, and Lord Tennyson. She also enjoys reading the works of some contemporary poets like Maya Angelo, Langston Hughes, Paul Dunbar, Sylvia Plath.

Claudia Saul has three children and lives in Brooklyn with her husband, Othniel.
